On
the weekend of June 26-27, women are invited to join wilderness guide Lucie LaPlante Villeneuve Villeneuve, of Outdoor ESCAPES New Hampshire, LLC, on a 2-day survival weekend
in northern New Hampshire. This experience is designed for those who want to
have some serious fun.
The
hike in New Hampshire's Great North Woods will be at an easy pace with
scenic views and wilderness camping. The second day will include a paddle in
the headwaters area of the Androscoggin River.
Participants will meet in Dixville Notch at 10:00 AM to hike into wild New
Hampshire. The event will end after paddling sometime Sunday afternoon.
Topics covered will include trip planning, navigation, dealing with weather
and the environment, low-impact camping practices, outdoor cooking, knots,
and basic paddling skills and safety.
Reservations are required. The cost is $145 per person for the two-day
backpack/paddling trip, which includes guide, instruction, camping gear,
