Ready
for Snowshoeing!
Yes, there is snow in New
Hampshire and Outdoor ESCAPES New Hampshire, LLC is ready to take outdoor
enthusiasts on exciting hikes to see scenic winter vistas and animal tracks.
It's quiet in woods, says guide/owner Lucie LaPlante Villeneuve Villeneuve. Last weekend she was in
the Great North Woods enjoying an overnight winter camping trip on the
Appalachian Trail. Her clients enjoyed a scrumptious hot meal after a rigorous
hike in the cool fresh air during a snowstorm. Waking from a sleeping bag in the
morning, they peeked out of the tent and saw a peaceful white view of the Carter
range.
The next scheduled
snowshoe hike is on December 26, 11am 4pm in Dixville Notch State Park. Lucie
will guide beginners and experts alike through the boreal forest, explaining the
natural and cultural history of the area. Reservations are required. The price
is $55 and includes lunch (children 12 and under $27.50). Snowshoe rentals are
available for $10.
Individuals, families, and groups are also invited to request Custom ESCAPES for
snowshoeing, backcountry skiing, winter camping, and survival skills. For
reservations and more information call 603-528-0136 or visit
www.OutdoorEscapesNewHampshire.com.
